This study aims to provide a comprehensive perspective on the historical evolution and current trends in maritime safety. Through an analysis of significant events and technological advancements, the ongoing importance of addressing the challenges facing the maritime industry is sought to be understood. Maritime safety is of paramount importance today, as it ensures the protection of human lives, property, and the environment. Over the past century, international regulations and technological advances have been implemented to enhance safety in this realm, although challenges such as high human incidence in accidents persist.
