Abstract

This paper first examines and explores the strategic significance of the Paradip ports. Later, it brings in a detailed analysis of Paradip's role in enhancing India’s maritime Blue economy. In addition, the study analyzes Paradip Port’s integration into the broader Indo-Pacific Framework, emphasizing its role in regional economic cooperation and sustainable maritime growth. To guide this analysis, the paper tests two key hypotheses: First, the expansion and full mechanization of Paradip Port will significantly improve cargo handling efficiency and throughput, thereby enhancing India’s maritime trade competitiveness and contributing to sustainable port operations. Second, Paradip Port’s strategic alignment with the Indo-Pacific Framework strengthens regional connectivity and promotes sustainable maritime development in eastern India.
