Redundant Constraints in Purufiers Centrifugal Clutch Mechanisms: Influence of Presence and Elimination Options

Abstract
The article deals with structure of centrifugal purifier friction clutch mechanisms. It is shown that the presence of misalignment of the engine and purifier shafts significantly affects the operation of the clutches due to the peculiarities of their mechanisms. The operation experience shows that the wear of the pad is unevenly distributed both along its length and width. Thus, character of pads wear indicates the lack of possibility of self-installation of the pad relative to the semi-clutches which have its reason redundant constraints presence in clutch mechanisms. It is proved that a reduction in the number of redundant constraints can be achieved by organizing the connection of the seated semi-clutch with the pads through flexible links, for example, steel ropes or 1-class kinematic connections.
