Abstract

This research investigates strategies for enhancing collaboration and information sharing among stakeholders in smart eco-ports, crucial hubs of sustainable maritime transportation. Through qualitative analysis and valuation techniques, key challenges and opportunities are identified, highlighting the importance of aligning objectives, improving communication channels, and ensuring data security. The findings underscore the critical role of professionalism and expertise in driving initiatives to improve collaboration and information sharing practices. Moreover, the relevance of international standards in promoting harmonisation and interoperability among smart eco-ports worldwide is emphasised. By addressing the identified challenges and seizing the opportunities presented by smart eco-ports, stakeholders can pave the way for a more efficient, sustainable, and interconnected maritime transportation network.
