About: ship

2026: Special Issue IMLC 2026

The 1st International Maritime and Logistics Conference (IMLC 2026) is a pioneering academic and industry-driven event designed to foster the exchange of knowledge, innovation, and strategic collaboration in the maritime and logistics sectors. The conference is hosted by the International Maritime College Oman (IMCO) under the umbrella of the National University of Science and Technology (NU), Oman.
With maritime trade accounting for 90% of global commerce, the industrial sectors are facing unprecedented challenges due to increasing sustainability demands, climate change, and digital disruption. IMLC 2026 will explore how these forces are reshaping the movement of goods, people, and ideas, and how stakeholders can effectively navigate this evolving landscape. The conference welcomes interdisciplinary contributions spanning engineering, computer science, economics, environmental studies, social sciences, and public policy, with a strong emphasis on actionable insights for industry and education.
The extended versions of the oral presentation from IMLC2026 are invited for publication in this special issue. Only invited authors are eligible to submit the manuscripts. The manuscripts should be written according to the journal’s author guidelines and submitted through JMR’s online submission system. All submitted papers will go through the journal’s standard double-blind peer review process. For any queries, please contact the lead guest editors (Prof. Dr. J. Sadhik Basha, Prof. Abebe Ejigu Alemu, and Dr. Meena Madhavan) of the special issue at sadhik@imco.edu.om, abebe@imco.edu.om and meenamadhavan@imco.edu.om
